I have a lot of thoughts during the day, but no one seems to want to hear them. Maybe if I expand my audience, I'll discover someone who cares, or that they are, in fact, stupid ideas.

Over the course of tonight’s heartbreaking How I Met Your Mother the show counted down from 50 to 1. The perhaps New Years alluding easter egg was very clever without being too distracting.
Your turn, Community.

WHY IS HIMYM SO AWESOME. Seriously.

It was actually incredibly distracting, and the episode was terrible.

I noticed the countdown when they got to six and thought it was weird, but if it started at 50 I don’t think it had anything to do with new years… because new years starts at 10. That makes no sense.

My brain currently hurts from sitting at work and reading a hundred similar comments on the AV Club about it, where most assholes were speculating that it was counting down to what Marshall found out when 0001 pulled up, a deathclock if you will. I never noticed any order to the numbers, just thought they really wanted us to know the date and thought it was weird that someone would greek a beer can to say 36.
