I have a lot of thoughts during the day, but no one seems to want to hear them. Maybe if I expand my audience, I'll discover someone who cares, or that they are, in fact, stupid ideas.

Post with 1 note

In my editing class, we spent most of the semester working on this one piece of footage.

And the footage featured a very effeminate southern gentleman, and since the whole class was editing the same thing, we were just surrounded by his voice for 85 minutes twice a week. Then one time I was in the city and the guy was in front of me in line at a Starbucks and I recognized his voice when he ordered and I thought it was crazy to run into him because he was like a mini-celebrity to our class. So the next time I had that class, I went to tell everybody the story and I started with, “I was in Starbucks in Manhattan and I heard the guy in front of me order, ‘a tall iced caramel latte’ and when he turned around, it was him!” And nobody knew what I was talking about at all, because in my head where I did a perfect imitation of his voice after having heard it so much, it actually came out of my mouth like a deaf person trying to do Austin Powers. That’s why I don’t talk.
